Three ways you'll get paid when selling opens

The design is simple: when the marketplace opens, three things are each worth money on their own. The data itself. The context you added to it. And when you add valuable context to someone else's item, half of what that context earns goes to you and half to the item's owner — so being helpful pays, too. Sally's cut of any sale is three cents on the dollar; the card processor takes its usual cut, and everything else is for people.
And it stays yours the whole way. Drafts start private and hold only the items you select. Nothing is offered without your explicit say-so on rights and allowed uses, and a license never transfers ownership. Depending on the data and applicable law, an activated license may count as a sale or sharing of personal information and must be handled accordingly.

The durable human advantage
A file shows what appeared. You know what was true.
Generic captions get cheaper every year. Sally focuses your time on facts an AI cannot safely infer: purpose, identity, relationships, cause, hidden physical properties, failures, evidence, uncertainty, permission and the verified outcome.
Which is why you do not need to be brilliant, credentialed or an expert for your contribution to matter. You were there and the model was not. That is the whole qualification.
Those answers become a structured Context Graph linking assets, people, objects, events and claims across time. Fidelity still measures catalog completeness; Context Depth measures the high-value human knowledge attached to it.

Every file has a unique mathematical fingerprint — and photos carry hidden notes from the camera that took them: the exact moment, the place, the lens. Sally reads all of it automatically, so you start from “mostly organized” instead of zero.

Everything you add is private by default. Sharing a collection is an explicit choice. And if you ever want out, one click exports your entire enriched catalog in open formats — spreadsheets and standards-based JSON that any tool can read. Sally's job is to make your data more valuable to you, not to trap it.
When selling opens, a draft will contain only the exact items you select and stay private until you take a separate, deliberate listing step. Purchases, payments and payouts are not active yet — no one can buy, and no one can be paid, until that changes. It will be loud and opt-in when it does.
